You know you are 30 when. . .

You are excited to stay home and cook dinner on New Years so that you don't have to go out and deal with a bunch of annoying people and also so you can go to bed right at midnight! LOL

Adam and I stayed home tonight and had a 4 course meal over a 4 hour period:
Course 1:
Champagne Fondue - so yummy, but stuffed us for 2 hours! Luckily course 2 was

Salad - somewhat healthy with balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Course 3:
Filet Mignon skewers with balsamic reduction (thank you williams sonoma cookbook)
this was fabulous, i will be happy to share the recipe. Sooo good and Adam loved it too!
with Green beans with tomato basil sauce (thank you to Amy Waddill for sharing that recipe!)

Course 4:
Yummy publix Tres Leche chocolate cake dessert thing. Haven't had it yet, but it is up next and looks really good!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

oh and i have to mention that i bought a pair of skinny jeans today so i can wear my new UGGS tomorrow when it is super cold! So excited!! :-)

Christmas Fun!

Reva, Brett, Ann Carroll and I went to Christmas Tea again this year at TPC.
This year it was in the big room that we had our wedding in. They had tea, coffee, finger sandwiches, scones and chocolate covered strawberries. What more could a girl ask for???
It was so nice to see all the pretty decorations to help get in the Christmas Spirit!

Merry Christmas to All!

Here's to the first day of football!!!

This weekend we went to Orlando so that Adam and his Dad could play in the Twin Rivers member/guest golf tournament. I arrived to find a super duper cute new koozie just for me!!! AND just in time for football season! How lucky am I to have such a talented MIL (mother in law)?!?!?

Bob and Judi also treated us to a wonderful dinner at The Palm at the Hard Rock Hotel, Universal. I had the salmon and I can honestly say that it was the best salmon I have ever eaten.
Now I must tell a funny story. The server came out with the typical tray of their dessert selection. They were all very large portions, but the carrot cake was particularly large, so we asked(I thought jokingly) her if these were the real serving sizes and she said yes. Well I figured it MUST have been a sarcastic yes, because who serves half a cake as a serving? Well, apparently The Palm does. So this is a picture of our one order of carrot cake. Really, I think we figured it was a sixth of the entire cake. We had so much left over that all four of us had some for dessert today!!!

Nothing too exciting!

Adam and I went to our friends wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Knapp, this weekend. It was at Sawgrass Marriott and it was so beautiful and lots of fun!

This coming up weekend we are sad to say that our friends Sean and Sunny are moving away to Pheonix and we are going to their "Going Away" party at their house. It should be lots of fun, but sad at the same time!

Last night I went out to dinner with my friend Amy. It was so nice to see her and am soooo excited she is having a little girl!! She is due on December 11th, I am so happy for The Waddill's!

The next few weekends should be fun weekends, so I will try to stay up to date!

Adam has worked very hard. . .

For the past week, Adam has worked in the yard. We got a fence about a month ago and Adam has been out in the yard every night of work this week to put our new "flower bed" in. Doesn't it look wonderful!?!?
