Football Season is almost here!

In celebration of counting down to football season, because yes, I am just as excited as Adam is, I have my garnet and gold and orange and blue ready to go!

I made a FSU dress for my friend Sami's little girl and I made myself a dress that I call, "I heart Tim Tebow". It isn't necessarily Gator, but could also be Bronco colors. Heehee. . . (and Adam loves it!)
I am working on an FSU outfit that will be worn a lot more often, however!

On to other happenings: Adam had his annual British Open party to attend yesterday morning. He was the first one there at the bright and early time of 6:05am!!! Needless to say, I was still sleeping.
Today is "Charlotte Day" (since Adam has had lots of Adam days lately) and we are going to church and then probably to the outlets. This part, of course Adam doesn't know about yet, lol. Then, I think I will have him help me rearrange my sewing room. (doesn't know about this yet either) So it should be a fun day! :-P

What's up doc?

Bugs Bunny is in trouble again! We discovered the "dog" that has been digging holes under our fence and digging up our yard. Well, as you can see, it wasn't a dog at all, but a cute bunny!

p.s. the bunny is in the neighbors yard. No, ours doesn't look that bad (thank the Lord!)

4th of July Happenings in the Werner World

Adam and I had a fun Independence Day weekend! It was very busy, but that is fun, too, right???

Saturday was Dad's birthday, so I went over to hang out with him and we had lunch and started a yummy tart recipe I found that is very patriotic. That evening, Adam and I headed over to Sami's baby shower. It was a couples baby shower, so Adam was happy to have some guys around so all the girly stuff didn't take over! Sami looks so great! She is due on October 20th and will have her baby in VA. Can't wait to meet Miss Evie (Evelyn) in December when they come back!

Sunday, we FINALLY finished all the windows in our house with the film/tint. It has really helped keep the house cooler and the sun not so bright with all our windows. It was definitely worth the money savings by doing it ourself, but it is very time consuming and requires two people. Very happy that's done. Excited to see the JEA bill. :-)
For our 4th of July celebrations, we went out to Neptune Beach to one's of Adam's friends houses for a party. The weather really put quite a damper on things. We were supposed to go around 2 or 3 and ride bikes down there, but it was just raining off and on I just didn't want to take the chance of getting soaked. So we got there around 6ish and stayed for about 2 hours until I was so starving we had to leave. (typical me, right?? :-) ) So, we ordered some pizza, came home and watched the fireworks in our neighborhood, they never disappoint!

Monday, was yard work day (BOOOOO) and we discovered that a dog(we think) is digging holes under our fence to get into our yard and tearing up our yard. I am very tempted to put up the video camera. I'll let you know once we figure out what it is.
Later that day, we went to my parents for their joint birthday celebrations. Food was yummy as always!

This coming up weekend is Ryan-palooza (I'm so funny) and Adam is going to Atlanta for Ryan's birthday. I am very excited, because Jessica, Brett and I are going to see Eclipse on Thursday night and then I'm going to hang out with my friend Shasta another night and then I'm going to have the whole weekend to go to the beach, read, sew! WOOHOO!

Fun Times in Hilton Head

Adam and I had a great time on our 2 year Anniversary trip to Hilton Head. Now that I am only working part time, it is so nice to have so much time for each other and to relax!

We took a 4 day weekend and drove up to Hilton Head on the Saturday before our anniversary and came back that Tuesday. We did a lot of bike riding and site seeing. It is such a beautiful island with all the trees and wildlife.
We also got to play a little golf. The course was so beautiful and fortunately for me, not too difficult!

We didn't take a lot of pictures, because as everyone knows, when you don't have anyone to take pictures for you, then you are stuck most of the time! So I posted two cute (and funny) ones of us riding our bikes.

We will definitely be going back to Hilton Head to visit!

We miss you Sally!

I won't ever forget that night in 9th grade when I came home from a soccer game and there was a picture of a blond, cocker spaniel puppy and a note that said, "This way."
I think I started crying, I was so excited. We decided to name her Sally.

After 15 and a half years with such a devoted, loving friend, we had to put Sally down on Monday, May 17th. It was such a sad day, but also a day of happiness, knowing that such a loving animal will be more comfortable and more happy in doggy heaven.

We miss you, Sally!

(thanks to Megan for finding the pictures!)
